Cyberbullying-What You Need to Know
Cyberbullying is quickly becoming one of the more challenging issues facing parents as young people embrace the Internet and other mobile communication technologies. Learn more about cyberbullying and issues you need to know about how youth use and misuse technology to cause harm to their peers. Examples of cyberbullying will be discussed along with your role in preventing and responding to inappropriate online behaviors. Legal issues relating to intervening in cyberbullying situations will also be discussed. Class fee: $9.
Instructor: Justin Patchin, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with expertise in juvenile delinquency prevention, school violence, and adolescent use of technology. For the past five years he has been exploring the intersection of teens and technology, most notably social networking and cyberbullying.

To register

Participants are enrolled in a class upon receipt of registration and payment.
If a class is filled, participants will be placed on a waitlist. Waitlist means if an opening becomes available, participants will be contacted about class availability.
A $7 processing fee will be charged for refunds. No refunds made one week prior to start of class.
Participants under the age of 18 must call for approval before registering for class.
